Siva and Sindhu- A Fairy-tale Hindu Wedding of Two Beautiful Souls

Life is a beautiful ride, and turns out even more special when you pair it up with someone special. For the humble, loving girl-next-door Sindhu hailing from Vellore, who is a doctor by profession, this became true when she tied the knot with Siva, an equally charming, pleasing engineer from Madurai. They came together in this fairy tale, marriage set-up to celebrate the love they have for each other.

Their wedding was shot by Jaihindh Photographers through a 3-day course at the small yet appeasing town of Vellore. There is a video montage of the moments through this 3-day course that explicitly illustrates each aspect of the ceremony. If you trace the journey of this lovely couple, initially they seem to be lost in an enchanting world of their own. Then they are seen to be prepping up, nervous yet excited to be stepping into this next phase of their lives. The next course is the wedding day where a frenzied crowd awaits the union of Siva and Sindhu into matrimony. The bride and the groom are sis immersed around with family members while the rest of the audience patiently watches. Amidst all the joviality of the family members and friends, the priest is seen blessing the couple and conducting the ceremony effortlessly. The thaali or the Tamil equivalent of a Mangal Sutra is passed around the hall for seeking the blessings of each one around. Finally, against the backdrop of the naadaswaram, Siva ties the thaali around Sindhu’s neck and the deal is sealed. This moment is captured beautifully and the frenzy in the moment can be felt through the picture itself. The rest of the day is spent by the couple indulging in fun and frolic, playing games, and chatting away as they explore the start of something new.
